1 Peter 1:1-3:22

Over the past 10 weeks, we’ve covered quite a bit of ground.  We’ve seen how the gospel serves as our foundation for obedient living (weeks 1-3, 10), examined the link between our true identities in Christ and our actions (week 4), been given instructions for enduring & responding to suffering & persecution (weeks 5-6, 8-9), and explored some roles in the household (week 7).

Now we will evaluate what we’ve gained from our study up to this point, and some areas in which we may still need to implement truth.

Spend some time looking over your responses for the last 10 weeks, and then respond to the questions below.

  1. What are some areas in my life in which I’ve implemented truth from 1 Peter 1:1-3:22? How have I benefited from the time I’ve spent in God’s Word?

  1. What are some areas in my life that still need to be addressed with truth from 1 Peter 1:1-3:22? After identifying those areas, write down 3-4 names of people who can help in this regard.

At our Crossing Campus in Pleasanton, our church family is going through a Sunday sermon series 1 Peter: The Sojourner’s Hope. (Audio sermons available online.)

We sincerely believe that the more we interact with and apply God’s Word, the greater impact it will have on our hearts and in our lives.  Therefore, we encourage you to make use of these devotionals in your personal or family devotion times as well as small groups.

You can download the full devotional (16 weeks) on our church homepage or pick one up at our Information Desk on Sundays.
